Changes may need to be made for a variety of reasons. You will need to make a copy of the document to make changes.
Example of changes.
- Add movement to a clamp, cylinder, hinge, add mate connectors, etc..
- Add mass and CGs
- CAD api does not have a link (this sometimes happens)
- Update to your company standards
For the first two, please make a public copy so your work can be shared by others. The copy will show up in the search results for the part number. People can select models by the most likes.
This way the models are improving. You can always later save it as a private copy.
For changing meta data to your company standards, you can most likey run a featurescript to convert the data in the .txt tab. This does not need to be public as it is specific to your company standards.
